Create an itinerary including Tharabar Gate
See the remains of the ancient city at Tharabar Gate. Built and fortified in the ninth century as a form of protection, this site represents the only remnant of the city walls that once protected the prosperous kingdom. While the rest of the surrounding buildings decayed because of the unstable materials they were built with, the glorious gate still stands. Observe the two brick shrines facing each other, portraying two guardians. Steeped in history and culture, the gate serves as a venue for several festivals throughout the year.
