  • Very nice visit in this living museum with George, an owner of the campsite. Very interresting to discover this tribe.

  • We love this beautiful campsite. It's clean and quiet and the owner John made us feel very welcome. The mopane seeds in the campfire smelt wonderful.
  • day with Himba was awesome! we learnt a lot about their culture and we have great time with them. Camp is also very nice, showers with hot water, good camping facilities.
  • Amazing experience to see how the Himbas people live. They’re really nice, smiley and welcoming. You definitely need to try this human experience… I love Himba people !
  • Our family of 6 stayed there a few days ago and it was a wonderful experience! The campsite is in such a beautiful place, and it has everything one could need even if it is in a remote area. We spent 2 nights at the campsite and one day with the Himbas at the living museum; it was amazing and will probably remain the highlight of my Namibian trip. I loved learning about the Himba culture and watching our kids interact with theirs. Thank you Kamati for welcoming us so warmly and guiding us through the experience! We recommend it to anyone visiting Namibia!
  • pretty basic but good if you need a place to stay outside Opuwo
