Peaceful and ideal for a picnic, Buada Lagoon represents a landlocked, freshwater lake surrounding by thick foliage. • The lagoon is not swimmable but is pretty to look at. However, We didn’t stop due to all the stray/ wild dogs. It’s Worthy of a quick stop at least.

  • The lagoon is worth a visit and quite unlike anything else on the island. There are no facilities nearby so it needs to be a visit by car. By local standards it is pretty clean and has fish.

  • Beautiful scenes around the island
  • Dirty lake with small fishes. Not for swimming.
  • say hi to gus if you go
  • Inland District with lagoon
  • Nauru's only lake. When I visited in March 2016, the surface of the lake was dirty with plastic bottles and garbage floating on it. I don't think it's suitable as a place to relax, but I think it's a place that you can't easily go to, so if you go to Nauru, why not visit it at least once?
