Create an itinerary including Mera Peak
Mera Peak is a mountain in the Mahalangur section, Barun sub-section of the Himalaya and administratively in Nepal's Sagarmatha Zone, Sankhuwasabha. At 6,476 metres (21,247 ft) it is classified as a trekking peak. It contains three main summits: Mera North, 6,476 metres (21,247 ft); Mera Central, 6,461 metres (21,198 ft); and Mera South, 6,065 metres (19,898 ft), as well as a smaller "trekking summit", visible as a distinct summit from the south but not marked on most maps of the region.

The height of Mera is often given as 6,654 metres (21,831 ft), and claimed to be the highest trekking peak. This figure actually points to nearby Peak 41, which was mistakenly named Mera in a list of Himalayan peaks, and the figures were copied to the official trekking peak list as they were, including the wrong location coordinates.

  • One of the most beautiful peaks in Nepal. 6,500 meters approx. good fitness required to do this trek. Amazing views of the Himalayan mountain range of Nepal. 15 days from and back to Lukla. Tea houses on the way with very basic facilities. Many places no connectivity with outer world or electricity. Nice to stay in peace , enjoy the solitude and reflect upon yourselves.

  • Mera peak is one of the most popular trekking peak in Nepal it's situated burun national park. We can see many himalaya mountain range from top of the Mera as like Everest, lhotse_sar baruche, makalu, keshar kusum kangaroo and kanchenjuga. Many birds, wild animal flora and fauna.
  • One of the most picturesque Trekking Peaks in Nepal situated in Makalu Barun National Park provides a finest opportunity for of snow peak climbing. The climbing is not a difficult, but of course involves some technical steps majorly below Mera La and just below the summit. The other part is just an ascending along a fine slope mostly covered with snow. Alpine Climbing is fairly popular here. Upto Khare there are lodges from Lukla. Spend a night at High Camp from which summit and return to Khare is possible in a day.
  • This is a very famous holy lake for the Hindus and the Buddhists. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit the lake every year during the full- moon festival in August. According to the Hindu mythology, when the God churned the primordial ocean to produce elixir of eternal life, the poison was also produced simultaneously. To save the universe from this poison, Lord Shiva drank it scaring his throat blue in the process. To cool down his burning throat, Lord Shiva struck his trident into the rock creating three springs which ultimately resulted in the formation of beautiful lakes. Finally, Lord Shiva drank the water of the lakes and got rid of the pain. This trek provides excellent views of snow-capped mountains, picturesque valley and glimpse of exotic 108 holy lakes with diverse ethnic culture. The three week tour covers Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu valley trek.
