Create an itinerary including Poon Hill
Poon Hill offers panoramic vistas of the Annapurna Massif, blooming rhododendron forests, and picturesque Gurung villages. The trail that begins and ends in Pokhara--Nepal's second-largest city--is short but steep and features numerous stone steps. Family-run teahouses along the way provide overnight stays and meals. Dress appropriately, as it can get quite cold at the top--especially if you visit before sunrise. Plan a Pokhara trip in moments using our itinerary builder.

  • Such mesmerizing beauty !! The majestic view of the Himalayas leave you astounded!! Better get up early and hike to the top for the breathtaking sunrise !! The skies full of stars during the trek!! Just wow !! If you’re lucky, you can capture the milky way!! The shortest trek they say but it’s enough to take your breath away!! You will have to pay a fee of Rs 150 at the gate!! On the top, you can find a shop for having tea!! Overall, a fun experience!!
  • A must visit place while trekking in the region, located about 2 hours’ uphill walk from Ghorepani; sunrise view was wonderful. Entire Dhaulagiri range & Annapurna Massif including Machhapuchhre were on sight. It was really marvelous to watch the entire range from one place. One must wake up early in the morning not to miss the sun rise, sun rise time of particular day can be found in google, as the walk is uphill & many people need frequent rest hence give at least 2 hours for the walk, it is really going to be a life time memorable experience.
  • Amazing place .You get access to panoramic views of Nepal’s most famous peaks from here like Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna I and Annapurna South , Manchhapuchhre and others.Trek is short and moderate suitable for beginners . Can view great sunrise from here . This place is good for all four seasons ; December/February - snowfall , March/May - blossoming of rhododendron , June /August - moonsoon and clear weather , September/November - best time for Poohill trekking with festive vibes and great weather.
  • Love to see this sunrise and feel the cold weather
  • Good view of mountains from Annapurna I and Annapurna South to Machapuchre. Best place for short hike. Trails are moderate and managed to reach there, so people of most age can go there and enjoy the scenic view
