Michael, the owner and operator of Auckland City Tours conducted our tour this morning of beautiful downtown Auckland and environs. He packed in a lot of detail about what we were seeing which I found very interesting. Because of temporary inclement weather he restructured the order of the stops such that we still got to see what I thought was the highlight which was the 360-degree view of the city and both shores from Mt Eden. If you are looking for an informed 4-hour overview of the city with minimal walking in a small-group setting and without the hassle of renting a car or public transport, this is the tour you should do.

We had a wonderful Auckland City tour with Michael. He picked us up from our cruise ship dock in his very comfortable and spotless minivan. Even though it is meant to be a 3 ½ tour, Michael generously gave us almost 5 hours and we absolutely loved every minute of it! Michael took us to see all the must-see sights in Auckland and well as some secret sites. He packed in so much information and entertained us all with stories and anecdotes. It was one of the best tours we’ve taken. At the end, he even dropped us off at the doorstep of our next destination, Weta Workshop. If you’re a first-time visitor to Auckland, we highly recommend doing this fantastic tour with Michael!

Really pleased that I decided to do the half day Auckland tour. Michael was a wealth of relevant and interesting information delivered with good humour. He included everyone on the bus in his delivery which was fabulous. The highlight was a trip up to One Tree Hill with amazing, breathtaking views over the city and beyond. Great tour, worth every penny .

Absolutely wonderful tour. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable and his humour made the experience all the more enjoyable. This is by far the best way to experience Auckland Central and the outlying suburbs. The view from the top of Mt Eden was fantastic and the humorous anecdotes about his kids was a fantastic personal touch. You will not get this kind of service from any other tour company in the city

Auckland City Tours is the best way to see the hot spots of Auckland. Michael offers a very friendly and personable tour of Auckland. He offers a pick up and drop off service to hotels in town. Would happily recommend his tour to anyone new to town and looking for great views, friendly service, and an entertaining and factual few hours in Auckland!
