Stroll through a scenic red beech forest with the deep blue waters of Lake Gunn at your feet. Located within a national park, this easy loop that follows the edge of the lake takes less than an hour to complete and is suitable for all ages. • It's a nice spot to stop on the way to Milford Sound. Stunning views of the lake. There are also toilets nearby.
  • One of the many scenic spot … a resting point before reaching milford sound. Pictures were taken from the lake Gunn nature walk
  • Nice spot to stop on the way to Milford sound. Beautiful lake views
  • Great place to visit on the way to Milford Sound. Its a stunning drive on the Milford road.
  • It's a good middle stop if you are visiting from Te Anau or from Milford, which is a great 45 minutes round trip back to carpark. The walk is pretty easy and flat, and quite suitable for family with kids. When you walk towards Lake Gunn, there is a small opening with bench for you to enjoy the beauty of it. Also there are numerous of opportunities of South Island Robin and Rifleman sightings, be sure to watch it from a distance without feeding them.
