  • How had we never heard of this track before? It’s an absolute star, one of the best attractions on the west coast and anyone, of any age or fitness can do it. By day it’s a short 20 minute stroll...

  • Excellent bush walk for children. We went slightly before dark which was a great idea as we could see the condition of the track, identify where there were bridges etc On our return it was dark...

  • Beautiful forest walk, leading to the “largest active landslide” in New Zealand. The landslide is fenced, it can move up to 70 cm daily. Views of the mountains, river.

  • I can’t put up a photo as it’s dark to see the glow worms. But it is great walk. You better be careful as you won’t be carrying a great light source, you don’t know where you are, it might be freaky and haunted if you are not brave. It takes about 50min in the dark walk. At the moment you anticipate to see no one along the way as travel industry is dead. So brace for the fear.
  • Nice walk with good view. The 600m walk is covered by forests and pretty comfortable.
  • Great little walk! At night time you can see the glow worms too!
  • It's convenient to have a red light flashlight,Walk in for 3-5 minutes and you'll see the glowworms.
  • The physical address of the walk is next to the welcome road signs as you enter the township from the south. DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE OR OTHER SIGNS. The walk is totally worth it, easy to navigate and we saw lots and lots of glow worms. We visited 9 January 2023 and at 10pm at night as suggested by others.
