The hill is on the main road from Pakuranga to Howick. There are a lot of parking spots on all sides of the hill and not that far from the main area in Howick with the restaurants, cafes and shops. There are two entrances that lead to the memorial at the top of the hill. Both are paved so it is not too difficult getting to the top. The memorial stands high on top of the hill. It has beautiful views of the surround including the water. The area itself isn't that large but there is grassy areas where people can sit or stand. There isn't a lot of shade at the top so it gets quite hot. It is a nice place to have a short walk and get nice views of the area.

Some spectacular views in every direction, get the Binos out for a real treat. Parking is no problem as is access to the park. It’s not super flash but makes for a nice place to relax & have a L&P & a Mince n Cheese pie.

One of the best views in east auckland. Be sure to come early if attending a dawn or civil service on Anzac Day as 2,000 - 3000 will gather for service.
