  • We spent a good 2 or 3 hours here and it was time well spent. This is a great regional museum. we even had a very pleasant late afternoon bite and drink in the adjoining restaurant.

  • Beautiful museum dedicated to the Maori people and early European settlers. Everything was displayed, organized and comprehensible. They even had short clips where a group was explaining certain traditions of the Maori. I enjoyed immensely.
  • Overall very good, however for an information centre to be upstairs with only the only dry/elderly/ less abled access not working is not a good start. Had to get our ability challenged passenger out of the car & to the lift, to discover its not working & only access is via steps outside in the rain. Consequently we had to leave him in the car. Centre itself was good, staff were helpful & attentive.
  • Wonderful regional museum that has a great deal to entertain the kids and educate all. Truly enjoyed. The / hours we allowed only scratched the surface!
  • There is a lot of activities for children inside. Entry is free. Please remember that Taking pictures is not allowed inside. I highly recommend to visit this museum.
  • Great museum to visit with kids, so many interactive activities and displays to entertain little ones. Would recommend visiting and best of all it is free.
