Barefoot Sailing Adventures, Paihia

The island hopper day cruise was amazing! My husband and I started our honeymoon with this day cruise and it was the perfect way to start our trip. Our captain, Luke, was so friendly making an effort to remember our names, get to know us, and teach us about the boat and the surrounding area. I even got a chance to drive the catamaran! We had a delicious lunch at our island stop as well as snacks and a beverage along the way. At the island, we had the chance to snorkel, paddle board and explore the island. We snorkeled and saw eagle rays and a variety of fish and then we walked across the island to the beach on the other side and saw and heard so many beautiful song birds throughout the dense forest. I’d highly recommend Barefoot Sailing Adventures and the island hopper cruise to anyone visiting Paihia! It’s an adventure we’ll never forget!

Had the pleasure of sailing with Luke and Jordan today! Was one of my favorite most memorable days in NZ. We sailed to a beautiful remote island, there we were able to hike, snorkel, swim, or paddle board. We chilled on the beach for about 2 hours before sailing back home. A great picnic lunch was provided while on the island. I really loved the smaller group setting of this tour. It did not feel touristy or cheesy! It felt like a couple friends invited you out on their boat for the day!!

An excellent day out. Luke and first mate Jordan were excellent hosts. Most of the day under sail amongst the islands, with a 2 hour stop at Moturua Island for bush walks and swimming. Highly recommended.

A cool adventure... Bay of Islands was not it's usual blue sky day but we still had an awesome time sailing with the crew & the bonus of some beautiful dolphins alongside us. The lunch stop was great to paddleboard, lots of fish to see, a few laughs, good kiwi sandwich bag lunch, and knowledgeable hosts. Covid-protocols are well followed and they're keen for us to visit Northland! Not only do I recommend it (we went with our three teenagers), I'd also do it again. Thanks Barefoot Crew.
