The network includes around 4,000 sq km (1,544 sq mi) of sounds, islands, and peninsulas, and though sparsely populated by humans, the Department of Conservation manages over 50 nature preserves here. Hike through the verdant forests that rise from the sea, relax in the sheltered sandy bays, or sail the striking turquoise waters. A great tramp, well supported by Jake the Tour Guide. Some long days (>20km) were well paced on good walking tracks. Lots of opportunities to take in the breath taking scenery

We have similar view near our home & we were expecting views more like we found at Milford Sound. It's nice if you don't have large lakes & greenery near you.
