Create an itinerary including Ben Lomond Track
Head up Ben Lomond Track to take advantage of some of the finest views in all of New Zealand. The walkway allows climbers to reach the summit of Ben Lomond, a 1,748 m (5,735 ft) mountain near Queenstown. As you hike up this demanding route, you can take in scenic vistas from several lookouts. The best views await at the very top, offering a 360-degree panorama of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountain peaks. This route is a full day's hike, so make sure you have plenty of daylight hours to complete the climb and go back down. Be prepared for steep terrain and shifty weather, and avoid visiting in winter unless you already have extensive alpine experience. • Amazing views to make the uphill assent worthy with an easier decent on your way home. The trail had a vibe of enthusiastic hikers both local and international which made the hike enjoyable...
