This place is so big! There is a lot to see and do 👀 It has all sorts of honey and honey related products 🐝, including beauty products, mead 🍷, juices, chutneys, bees wax candles, and more 🕯 They have a little coffee shop with great coffee ☕ and ice cream 🍧 There is also a live demonstrations of how they extract the honey 🐝 as well as honey tasting 😋. There were dark and light honeys with interesting blends like with lavender. I bought a honey and lemon blend 🍋🍋 You can taste the goodness 😊

It was a rainy day, so we were looking for a family friendly activity to do with our toddler. We read about this place online and stopped by. Our toddler loved the kid's area where he could draw and play games. Lots of local NZ honey-based products to browse from food to skin care products. There was also educational information on bees and live beehives on display, but it was hard to see with the glare coming from the glass. We killed 45 minutes here, and our toddler did a poop in his nappy! Thankfully, they had the loveliest baby change room. It was clean and stocked with their beautiful honey products. We would of gave this place 5 stars, but the lady working in the cafe section ignored us. She clearly saw us waiting at the ice cream counter, but kept packing things up in the back instead of serving us. Heck, if you don't want our money, that's fine by us, so we walked away. Such a shame because the rest of the staff were nice.

Nice place to stop at after checking out the falls for some honey tasting and a little behind the scenes bee info. Very friendly staff and a nice little facility with easy parking, good restrooms and so many honey / bee products. Picked up some honeycomb to take with me for a snack and back on the roadz

Absolutely amazing place. Lovely, friendly staff and loads to see and learn about bees. The choices of mead, honey and lovely gifts as well as a nice cafe and ice cream, made it a great visit.

Its such a beautiful place to visit while you are in Taupo you see live bee buzzing around and making honey. They have huge collection of honey, honey comb, special honey spoon, books and moisturizers. They also serve gelato and free honey tasting at the site. Its a kids friendly place and they have several spots where kids can enjoy.
