I came from Granada by bus, to Masaya or better go down on Rotonda des flores (15 cordobas), ans change to Amy bus going south, they all stop at Catarina (10 cordobas). 5-10 minutes walk in that...

This is a lovely place to spend an afternoon looking at the lagoon. The lagoon is in the crater of an extinct Volcano. There is restaurants and street vendors, horse backriding and a trail around part of the crater. It is a breath taking view when you get to the top and look down its amazing......

Beautiful place, do the hiking trail, it not long but be careful of the slippery ground., great place to take photos. There are lots of steps, so you need to be in shape a bit.

This place is to spend a while admiring the view. I wish I could have had the time to go to the bottom of the lake. I could only get shots from here and they were amazing. This is a great place to enjoy the view and blend in with the locals. They have a great variety of handcraft for every taste. Food and drinks are also available and good here. I will come back soon.

Pay to use the public washrooms. Careful with vendors when using local currency. Safe to walk around. Beautiful
