Lovely valley view within easy reach of downtown. It's just a little over an hour round-trip. Slight discomfort with armed guard warning us to not stay too long up there (?!) but it was fine. Paved...

The most impressive views of the city of Jinotega, the Dantalí - El Diablo Natural Reserve, Lake Apanás and the green mountains of Northern Nicaragua can be seen after a 45-minute climb on Cerro de la Cruz, one of the attractions of the municipality of Jinotega.

Excellent place for those who like hiking, I would say that the distance is short, but it is difficult depending on your age. Being my first time I reached the summit in 29 minutes, which is not a record, but it will refer you to the time you need. The somewhat complicated descent, imagine going down more than 900 steps in a row. But being at the top you would never want to get off, it is spectacular. It is a beautiful experience, one of those that will give you something to talk about at your family gatherings.
