I liked the fact that the history was written in English as well as Spanish. I learned so much and recommend it to everyone interested in the history of the area.

This free museum was the location of Fonseca's birth and childhood. There is an excellent display of information about him. We are so intrigued we will look for books by and about him when we return...

Lots of information about the life of Carlos Fonseca. Includes many panels of information as well as some personal items. Very interesting
-
Free museum detailing the life of FSLN founder, leader, and martyr Carlos Fonseca. As a native Matagalpino, Fonseca is revered throughout the city and country. Their are 5 rooms to visit with panels in Spanish and poly translated, but passable English. The panels were slightly out of order, but his story could still be followed. This is one of the better small museums I have visited in Nica. Its a great place to learn more about the history of Nicaragua and the rise of the FSLN. If you appreciate patriotism and the struggle for liberty and sovereignty, you will appreciate this museum and Nica history in general.
