    Beautiful sandy beach uninterrupted for miles. Lined with beach bars. Stopped in for a drink at a casual beach bar and was surprised to see such an extensive menu offering.

    We went down to Playa de Pochomil and spent a few nights at SOMA Surf Resort. An Oasis in the middle of nowhere and an amazing experience. Surf lessons with high end living.

    The local beach. Local food a simple slow pace. The sand is dark and muddy the beach is very wide.

    A quiet, local beach. It felt safe & has a good selection of restaurants. The waves are big which is pretty fun to swim in if you don’t mind getting knocked over & wet hair. Maybe not if you just want a leisurely swim. Easy to get the bus from Managua (go to the market Israel Lewites bus terminal & you will see the bus that says Pochimil on it, they run very regularly but be aware that the last bus back to Managua leaves Pochimil at 5pm)

    It's a nice beach, specially for surfing during the winter months. The sand is dark. Not the best beach in the world, but good enough to go if you are in Nicaragua.

    Lo season visit and none planned BUT not impressed, the water was very salted and I mean I've been to beaches my whole life and this was by far the saltiest sea water that have gone in my mouth. Took me 13 mins of it to call it quits and to top it off my phone which can also withstand water got damage from this holy salted water. So no not going back aside from the prices for very basic stuff. I'll pass on next visit there.
