  • This is an opportunity to engage with nature, learn about history and get an amazing view of the ocean. Easy for all ages and definitely an hour or so well spent. Go for it.

  • In the 1940s this place was annexed by the German forces and turned into a bastion to defend the Oslo Fiord from allied attacks. It was fitted with French cannons taken as a spoils of war - ironically after the liberation the fort was retrofitted with German cannons, also taken as a spoils of war 😳. Currently it is a nature reserve boasting several rare species, ie montaneous flowers having adapted to the coastal climate. The bunkers are sealed and not accessible, but the trenches and cannon mounts are all pretty intact. There are also several interesting areas with fossils.
  • A nice stroll in the park ... Squirrels that I love can also be seen. Ends up in a very pretty place where you can see the ocean and has some tables to sit and relax there. I think it's a very nice picnic spot .
  • Nice place with history from WW2. Beautifull views and lot of paths to follow. Possible to bath and relax.
  • Great historical place for you and the family.
