Northern Light Dog Adventure, Balsfjord Municipality

Northern Light Dog Adventure does an exceptionally well dogsledding experience. These guys take pride in providing a small group experience and when we went it was just my wife and I which was great because they were able to personalize the experience to suite us. We took the sleds through all types of different, beautiful and challenging terrain and even took us to create new trails! The dogs seem very well taken care of too. If you enjoy the "real" experience, small groups and don't enjoy the large tourist traps this is the place for you.

This is honestly one of my most favorite things we did in Tromsø, the people were so warm and welcoming. The dogs are super excited to get running, and once you are controlling the sled, its an amazing experience! Amazing place and amazing people. Would seriously recommend this to everyone who is in the area.

Dog sledding at this place was one of the best activities during our trip. It's hosted by father and son whose names I unfortunately don't remember. They are really friendly and funny, gave us instructions on the sledding in the beginning. They have 37 dogs, who couldn't wait to go running, they were very hyped and friendly, we pet them all after the sledding when they calmed down. At the end we went inside to get some refreshments and talked to the hosts a bit. They explained everything about the dog sledding, the racing and their way of life. The dogs are very well cared for. I definitely recommend this fantastic experience!

Great experience. The sledding is a lot of fun but challenging. They give all the needed equipment like shoes, overalls and hats for the ride. The dogs are treated very well and are super excited 😊

This was undoubtedly one of the highest point of our Tromso trip! The husky wheel sledding was a perfect mix of adrenaline rush and scenic backdrop- take it from us the memory of this trip will never fade away. Thomas and his older son Steen were so warm,they made us feel so welcome and made sure we enjoyed every bit if our time on the farm.They made excellent hosts! The Huskies are a delight to watch and interact with,amazing they are- so full of energy and if you are a dog lover- do not miss this adventure that will give you memories of a lifetime! Even if you are not a dog lover, give this a shot- u will not regret it. The drive to the farm is filled with breath taking views of the famous fjords of Norway. Also Steen and Thomas have great stories to share that will charm you as well. A must do when in Tromso.
