A wonderful experience, the guide at museum was very cooperative and friendly, they guided us throughout about historical facts. The kids enjoyed it as well. I would recommend to visit while the weather is pleasant and not very hot or humid. The tickets are not expensive. Try not to visit during rush hours on working days since the road is narrow and you might experience traffic jam because there are universities and offices nearby as well.

Visiting the Taxila museum was such a wonderful experience. Most artifacts are about Buddha civilization thousands of years old but I'd like to appreciate the Pakistan government and museum authority to keep these artifacts in such a preserved position. The museum building is also very nice and attractive from outside and when we go inside it's even more wonderful. There are so many statues of Buddha of different sizes like some of them are really huge and some of them are very small. The building is very airy and well maintained. I'll suggest to everyone who has an interest in history and old civilization it's a must visit place for them

Went there on weekend (sunday) It was a midway stop towards Mabali island. But I think that this midway stop was worth it. It was a good experience. Bought ticket worth 20 per person. Museum is well maintained. The artifacts were also restored and managed with care. The staff was much cooperative and well behaved. A bit about history: This place was excavated by Sir John Marshall. The artifacts were found within 1-8 km radius of the original site. Many artifacts were also sourced from different excavation sites located around this spot. Mainly focuses on lifestyle and culture of Buddhists.

One of my favorite place... True museum having variety of Buddhist Community sculptures and vast history... Good for children's historic learning... Nice to be there...
