  • Kanamarka impressed me more than Machu Picchu! No entrance fees, no waiting lines no people standing in front of your camera. And a beautiful conserved big area of pre inca buildings

  • Undiscovered place! Magic and close to Espinar like around 20min by car
  • Ok
  • Capital of the K"ana nation at the time of the Incas, there are pre-Inca and Inca buildings, as well as burial chambers of different contexts, in June of each year the K"anamaka folkloric festival is held
  • Good example of pre-Inca and Inca architecture. There is also what appears to be the remains of a colonial church, adapted from an earlier temple. They should put better signage, reference texts and continue with the excavations and discoveries
  • A place near the city of Yauri, about fifteen minutes by car, you must take a detour that is marked on the track. According to history, this place was inhabited by the Canas in the late intermediate era where a hybrid between pre-Inca and Inca is noted in the design of the walls. They are currently doing restoration work on the site so there are closed areas. There is also a hacienda on top of the hill in the center.
