Create an itinerary including Pisac Market
Tucked away in a rural farming region, Pisac Market represents one of the country's most sought out attractions. This authentic Andean market hosts local vendors selling knitted scarves, jewelry, alpaca wool clothing, ceramics, and hand-painted beads. Despite its popularity among tourists, the market retains its local charm and authenticity. Be prepared to bargain for the best price--the vendors expect it. • We didn't really see a market but a street of typical shops. The sellers were respectable and not really was pushy. There is a really nice jewellery store there selling high end silver and local gems.

  • The Sunday market no longer exists. The market is the same every day, highly touristy and not at all a ‘local’ market anymore. You’re better off sticking to Cusco. Don’t waste the time travelling...

  • Way better than Cusco, lots of hand woven rugs. They also repurposed rug material and skirt material into bags. And omg look at this amazing art project/storytelling bit I got to hang on my wall! Also it wasn’t super crowded and sales people weren’t pushy. Handmade, hand dyed rug 4x5 feet for 200 soles! Small purses are 20 soles. Fair prices.
  • Stop, shop and haggle. It's not a "real" market, but just a big, extended tourist shop. None the worse for that if you like the goods and prices. Around the edge are bars, cafes and eating places. It's a reasonable, compact place to get that toy llama or silly hat.
  • Really amazing place - so much to buy!! Haha don’t be afraid to bargain here. Everything is negotiable. Make sure not to buy from the first stand you see. Everyone sells the exact same goods and they all take credit card. Even if they say they don’t, tell them you’ll find it somewhere else. Suddenly, the shop keeper will pull out a card machine or ask a neighbor for one.
  • What a fantastic experience! Incredibly friendly and hard-working people. Good prices - after you haggle, of course! This is a must stop if you are in the Sacred Valley.
  • Nice place to visit with interesting street views. There's a lot of shops selling all sorts of tourist type souvenirs of all different qualities. Also tried a bakery that was interesting to see in use.
