The Exploseum ("explosines + museum"; Polish: Exploseum – Centrum techniki wojennej DAG Fabrik Bromberg) is an open-air museum of industrial architecture combined with a museum of 20th century technology in Bydgoszcz, Poland. It is built around the World War II Nazi Germany munitions factory DAG Fabrik Bromberg. It is an anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage. A significant part of the 2 kilometre-long museum route are underground passages connecting the factory buildings. The exposition covers the life of the forced laborers (prisoners of war and concentration camp inmates of various nations, with the majority being Poles), including their acts of sabotage, as well as the history of the DAG and of Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite. The largest building contains the presentation of the history of arms and explosive materials since 15th century. To visit Exploseum on your holiday in Bydgoszcz, and find out what else Bydgoszcz has to offer, use our Bydgoszcz.

The old explosives factory is now a museum way off the city. It is worthy to take a detour to see it.

Journey into the past, with an excellent Urbex-Explorer feeling. One of the many Must-Visit places in Poland. Enjoy it

Not a great amount to see. 2km trek through concrete tunnels in the wood with breaks to look at explanatory posters. Plus the occasional exhibits of all kinds of weaponry. So historic undoubtedly but not that inspiring.

Only currently available in Polish, this museum is a must-see for the world. They need funding to make everything available in English. Germans need to come here and see what they did to Poles and other victims of the War they started. This place is vast and incredible in scope. Unlike anything else you will ever experience. Much of it is underground and encased in thick concrete. Built and operated mostly by slave labour, the German company DAG has yet to pay restitution to the victims and their families for their crimes. You may be able to privately hire a local guide who can translate everything but the museum only offers Polish language tours and placards. There was some English audio at the end in some of the victim display booths. This was partially funded by EU (pic included of funding breakdown) and Poland had to agree to keep it Polish only. Shame on Germany for extorting us with hush money. Sadly, this place needs some more sponsorship to get English tours and placards.

Awesome experience. Meticulously maintained and the displays were incredible. Everything was in Polish but a guide book can be purchased at the ticket counter for 10pln. Staff was amazing.

Must visit. Breathtaking tunnels, wild forest and the buildings specially designed to minimize the damage in case of explosion.
