  • This is a nice architecture where the bridge goes over the water. So it was good to take some photos there and look out over the water.

  • For me it was just a nice building arching over the street. I found it to be nicer at night when it was lited.

  • There are 2 gates at the ends of the Long Street ( The Green Gate and Golden Gate). No idea why it is called green though.

  • Took several pictures here. There is alot of historical buildings here to take pictures of. There are the traditional gift shops and eateries packed in the "Old Town". We did not ride the ship but you can there are 2 ships believe its every hour they come around.
  • This gate is quite wider and bigger one when compared to Golden Gate. Dluga street starts from Golden Gate and ends with Green gate which faces Motlawa river. Between these 2 gates there are numerous attractions and we can easily spend our time strolling around the street.
  • Green Gate is a grand structure from 16th century with four gates which is an entrance to the old town where the long market starts. It is situated on river Motlawa on the other side. It is usually crowded but better if you go before 9am when the multi storey market opens. It is nearby other public attractions like Neptune's fountain, Artus court, Gdansk historical museum, and Ship museum "Soldek" on the other side of the river Motlawa.
  • Green gate is one of the city,s Most visit tourist attraction it s located between long market and the river Motlava .It was built 1568.1571 by an Amsterdam architect son called Regnier. Green gate name in polish Brama Zielona . I recommend to visit it if you are in Gdansk its magnificent..................
  • The Green Gate was designed by Reiner van Amsterdam and built in XVI century. It was to serve as the formal residence of Polish monarchs but was only used once for that purpose in its history.Today the Green Gate houses the National Museum. Also former Polish President and symbol of Solidarity, Lech Walesa, has his office here. There are four arched passages through this gate and there is a symbol over each one of them. This gate also marks the end of the Royal Way. #letsguide, #poland, #gdansk, #visitgdansk, #oldtown, #royalroute, #gate, #touristattraction, #landmark, #reinervanamsterdam, #motława, #motlawariver, #waterfront, #greenbridge, #greenstone, #royalresidency, #museum, #polishpresident, #lechwalesa,
