Create an itinerary including Mariacka Street (ulica Mariacka)
Known for the booths selling amber jewelry that line the street, Mariacka Street (ulica Mariacka) is also home to cultural curosities, such as a sculpture of a tightrope walker balancing high above shoppers' heads. The narrow, cobbled road with walk-up townhouses recalls the city's golden age. The Krzywy Domek building represents an architectural oddity, with warped walls that make it appear as if it is a mirage materializing on the horizon. Take your time exploring this narrow pedestrian street. Put Mariacka Street (ulica Mariacka) on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Gdansk online travel route planner.

  • Mariacka Street is in the old town, and is home to a number of scenic independent shops and a few cafes. Worth a visit if you find yourself in Gdansk.

  • Romantic and beautiful place where all lover's will find the needed ambiance to enjoy a moment together after a little dinner or a drink and even just a walk. Full of history this place must be visited!!!
  • Waterfront gothic style gateway. This defensive brick structure with two towers was built in the 15th century and used to be one of the main entrances to the city of Gdansk. It gives pedestrians access to the beautiful cobbled Mariacka street. From here you can admire restored polychrome of two lions holding Gdansk's coat of arms. This gate is best to be looked at from the other side of the river (the Granary Island) to appreciate its beauty. #letsguide, #poland, #gdansk, #visitgdansk, #oldtown, #royalroute, #touristattraction, #landmark, #river, #motława, #motlawariver, #waterfront, #mariacka, #gate, #gothic, #gothicarchitecture
  • Lively waterfront place in Gdasnk. Be cautious about the restaurant. They are expensive in Polish standard and you have to wait in the queue as well. There is a portable bridge over the river. It's fun to walk over it.
  • One of my favourite gate/street in Gdańsk. Very picturesque and with a local market.
  • Gdansk is beautiful as always ever corner every side , it is also so attractive place for tourists
