  • While the place is modern and does have some interesting display and good audio video guide it felt as if it is just "not enough". The place is very small and the whole visit will take you less...

  • Very interesting new museum that shows the carpets industry in Arraiolos. A very nice and modern museum with English explanation on each display.

  • A must see when visiting the area. Such history! Fascinating.
  • It explains the process of creating and making the carpets very well, however, on the 2nd floor the donated pieces lack an explanation of what they're if you're familiar with the artistic movements or the era they were made in. I've posted an example of this with my review. Other than that, I've really enjoyed the museum.
  • Great place to know a bit more about the history of this city and their traditions
  • Beautiful examples of Arraiolos work. Worth a visit
  • This is a great place to understand the historical roots and the craft itself. Arraiolos has been a center of wool production, tinting, and rug manufacturing for centuries. It has a castle like so many of the iberian towns whose riches attracted those who'd pilfer. It has a charming urb, made of narrow medieval streets and public spaces at its center. But best, it has those hand embroidered Arraiolo rugs to marvel at or buy. They have been the property of nobles and bishops, but we mere mortals deserve them too.
