Lobosonda - Madeira Whale Watching, Calheta

Went dolphin snorkelling on the Stenella and my goodness was this an experience not to be missed! Paula was absolutely wonderful guide. It was super comfortable journey and we saw lots of dolphins and some pilot whales. Cannot recommend this enough. Even if you’re not in the sea, the dolphin watching from the boat was superb. Go and experience a lovely slice of nature!

We cannot recommend this experience enough. We took the Stenella Whale Watching Tour and had THE MOST amazing experience, it has been worth every single penny. They clearly care a lot about the wellbeing of these animals and carry out the encouters in a very professional and respectful way. They contribute to science with every sighting. They are extremelly kind in giving great explanations and answering every single question with care and passion. Our guide Paula was superb, as was our captain Daniel in approaching these animals in the right way and The staff guiding us from shore - thank you so so much! We got to see three different cetacean species and could not be happier. It is really gratifying to know that while you are having the most amazing experience you are also contributing to science. Do not hesitate!

What an excellent experience - we had a great guide who provided lots of information about the marine life of the area (fluently in 3 languages). The boat was magnificent and we were lucky to see quite a few dolphins and a sea turtle.

Fatima's knowledge of Sea life is absolutely mind blowing and contagious, we were lucky enough to catch 3 different species of Dolphins this morning and a Cuvier Whale 🐳 The trip was safe, enjoyable (rapid boat) and right on time (unlike me) Go large, don't hesitate for a sec 🌊
