  • This stark modern building between the Jeronimos monastery and the Tagus is a cultural and conference centre that stresses music, performing art and photography, with a large Exhibition Centre. Both the café and restaurant spill out onto the ramparts of the building whose peaceful gardens of olive trees and geometric lawns look out over the quay and the river. The entrance is free, except for the exhibitions indeed. There's all facilities for the disable people. Must be visited. Marvelous place!
  • Huge building. Quite a large collection of modern art. I wasn't that impressed. It must be very difficult buying art by the big names. The most recent ones on floor - 1 were interesting.
  • I went to a concert in the Auditório Grande. Beautiful space, excellent acoustics, wonderful Brahms program. I will return to explore more of the Center.
  • Everytime I'm in town I come here, they always have nice local and international concerts. The area itself is worth s visit, you can pay a visit to the museum, grab a coffee and enjoy the sunset. There's a nice view of the padrao dos descobrimentos here. Even if you're not planning to stay for long but if you wind up in Belem this is a must see.
  • I was very puzzled by this place. Modern art is not for everyone but I don't have good feeling from it at all. The small details in lighting, position around others paintings or working details make the difference between ok and great! Some staff members were so nice and helpful and fill of fun, others just bark on everyone around. Not nice feeling.
