Create an itinerary including Rossio Square
At Rossio Square, one of the main squares in Portugal since the Middle Ages, see Baroque ornamental fountains and monuments, have a coffee, and browse through a variety of colorful flowers for sale. Visit cafes that date back to the 18th century and check out the shops selling traditional pastries and spirits. See a 27 m (89 ft) column of King Pedro IV, who was also the first Emperor of Brazil. Snap photos of the 1840 neoclassical national theater, take a look around the 1887 Neo-Manueline train station, or walk along the cobblestone paths of this popular square. • We visit this place during Christmas holiday. We could feel the Christmas vibes here. There was a big Christmas tree and this place was lit by Christmas lights.

  • Sharing Lisboa through my eyes of living in Portugal for the past 5 years...The city has a rich history with art, culture, food, music, and Saudade...It is both old and modern...Hidden gems on streets less discovered you find the locals who make the city what it is...Resident Cowboy and supporter of the economy of Portugal since 2016
  • Great fun at the Christmas Market. The usual suspects as far as stalls go, but really good selections of Christmas eat treats and of course my personal favourite- the Ginja stall 😄
  • Gorgeous place! Grandeur of Neo-Classical architecture of the Teatro National. Beautiful fountains on the different sides of the imperial statue of Dom Pedro lV. The wave-patterned mosaic of the square is magical. Rolling Motion Square, definitely. X-mas illumination and decoration - just fabulous. There are lots of souvenir shops and cafés here. X-mas market must not be missed!
  • Almost queue for the elevator but met a “friendly” local and showed us the shortcut, some small tips and got convenience in return 🤙🏻
