Quinta da Roeda, Pinhao

This vineyard is beautiful. We’ve been to 4 others locally and this is definitely the most scenic. There’s a small kind of hut ar the rear of the main shop/tasting room to the right of the terrace, from here you have the most stunning view across the Douro Valley, it looks like a painting! This is the 1st photo in this review. Guillaume (William) took us for a guided tour and was very knowledgeable and informative. We tasted a Rose Port (unusual!), a white Port which was very amber in colour, a ruby and a tawny. They were good although we have preferred others. The interior building was very clean with more information detailing the production process. All in all it was definitely worth the €12. fee.

This is one of the two Wineries that was in the tour When I visit the city porto. the staff was giving a very detailed history of this location and the business model of how they grow the grapes. further details on how they acquired the mountains and how they encounter the climate changes from time to time in order to protect the environment and also cope with it since grape growth are very dependence on the weather. Unfortunately I was too mesmerized by the environment. it was just too beautiful with the surrounding. I wasn't paying too much of attention of what the staff was talking about. by the end of the tour, we got to try three of the wine. I end up purchasing a bottle of the ruby since that's my favourite. if my country allows me to bring more bottles home I would have purchase more bottles.

Absolutely in love with this vineyard. I did a tasting of the Port which is definitely worth it. I’d you get a tour of the grounds, it’s rather brief but informative in terms of the grapes and the grounds themselves. The views are spectacular. I could probably spend all day on their patio sipping wine taking in the scenic views. Definitely recommend!

During a day cruise in the Portwine region we stopped at Croft port. The scenery was stunning, nice place to be but not very informative in terms or winemaking.

Excellent wine tour and tasting at Quinta da Roêda. It’s a very pleasant 20 minute walk from Pinhão and you get a short walking tour with spectacular views, followed by 3 ports. Very good value and friendly service.
