Super long beach, great rock formations and nice walk to the lighthouse. It was quite windy when we visited (mid December). You can walk all the way to Praia do Vau too.

We are here for Christmas - New Year vacation 2022-23. Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk are closed but few are open. Weather is sometimes foggy, sometimes sunny. Water too cold for me to swim but children enjoyed. Very peaceful and not crowded at all.

Best longest stretch of beach to avoid crowding. Lovely clean, white sandy beach and plenty of space to find your own.

It’s a beautiful beach surrounded by some large rocks. Some parts of the beach have a lot of seaweed. I believe you need to take boats or kayak to be able to see those rocks and caves better. Be mindful that there is a wood staircase that you need to take to go down to some parts of the beach.

The beach is very nice. We spent some calm days and some windy/wavy days here. In some conditions the lifeguards will prevent you from swimming, which is a good thing I guess. Surfers had a hard time catching a good wave. End of September it was not crowded, but the water was pretty cold too: 16.8-20.3C
