Garrafeira Porto Wine House, Vila Nova de Gaia

Was looking forward to checking out the store. We arrived during opening hours but they were closed. From what we could see through the windows it looks like they have a lot of selection.

Extremly good service. Knowledgeable and good english. No issues getting good advice on selections.

Honestly, I didn’t come in to buy wine. Instead, I asked for a recommendation to have dinner. The lady suggested me three options. Finally, we decided to try one of them and it was so good. So, she is a very nice and friendly lady and for sure she have very good wine and expertise as well! Thanks a lot and all the best to you.

Sonia, at the Porto Wine House, is absolutely wonderful to work with. She gave me great advice/recommendations. When I got carried away on my last visit to Porto and bought too many bottles to carry back with me, Sonia organized shipping for me. Everything went smoothly until FedEx tried to deliver and when no one was home took the shipment back to deliver the following day. Then all of a sudden the package was "damaged" and could not be delivered... I think FedEx was partying? Sonia took care of everything, including going to two cellars in Porto to replace bottles that she didn't carry in her shop (only available at the cellars), and got the package resent and delivered quickly and efficiently. If you ship, pay for insurance and keep your receipts, just in case. Sonia, thank you so much!!!
