Playa Crashboat represents a historic former military port and a popular site for fishing and water sports. The beach still contains some remains of the military pier infrastructure and features a few bars and snack stands. Swim, sunbathe, jump from the pier, or escape the sun under the thick shade of the palm trees. Adventurous visitors can rent jet-skis and paddleboards, go scuba diving, or try surfing if the currents allow it. Collecting seashells is also popular here. A visit to Playa Crashboat represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Aguadilla holiday planner to plot your vacation.

Awesome beach for snorkeling. We saw fish, crabs, and corals. Water was gorgeous. There is a wheelchair path. Food kiosks and drinks lined the parking area/beach. There were caves in the rock cliffs..... more

Amazing beach! Great sand, beautiful surrounding hills, and water that is calm enough to swim in (a few waves but not large ones). We arrived at 8am when the beach was calm and quiet, and later on it.... more

Mi favorite beach since I was a child Is just a pity that it gets too crouded on weekends and many people competing for the loudest music. If you can, go better on week days and not recommended if the day before rained too much.

One of my best beach days ever. The beach is beautiful and the water was warm and clear. The food and drink trucks are wonderful additions to your beach day. Can't wait to go back.

Very clean beach with beautiful scenery. They have picnic tables, garbage cans, dock for fishing. Some of the tables are broken, but the beach is exceptionally clean.

Toilets locked. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I would rather not post pictures of the mess behind the washroom building. The management of this place should be ashamed of themselves. Otherwise everything else is nice and enjoyable, including the flora and fauna of which I will post a few pictures.

The most popular beach in Aguadilla and one of the favorites on the west coast for residents of Puerto Rico. There’s a little bit of everything at Crash Boat, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing pier, great sunsets, dancing pelicans, cheap local food, and plenty of parking. During the winter months, the west end of the beach becomes a playground for surfers. Beach volleyball is a popular pastime for young locals during sunset. Crash Boat Beach is one of the best beaches to experience the authentic local Puerto Rican experience, simple, relaxed, friendly, and always fun. The beach was probably named Crash Boat after all the colorful fishermen boats that “crash” on the shores of the beach. If you love photography, Crash boat is a great spot at sunset. The water is beautiful, with various shades from crystal clear, baby blue to cerulean blue tones. There are some spots best for swimming where the water is calmer, if you’re visiting for the first time, feel free to ask a local, swim where you see families with children, or be sure to get in the water before your children to check out the depth and conditions. The cool thing about Crash Boat is that in one location you get 3 different beaches, each appealing to a specific group, one of the reasons this beach is so popular among locals. The south end of Crash Boat typically has fewer crowds, you tend to see more people just chilling with a book and enjoying a good show from surfers during the winter months.
