Fagaras Fortress, Fagaras

Definitely worth a short detour. The fortress is surrounded by a moat and looks spectacular from the outside. The inner fortress has been refurbished and hosts a museum with an eclectic set of exhibits. The outer fortress - the outside walls and outdoor spaces are unfortunately not yet open to the public.

Great experience. The citadel has been beautifully renovated until now, they are still working on the main entrance and the exterior of the citadel. Still is worth visiting it. It has a part of the museum where the prison and / or dungeons used to be. The main museum it's in the newly renovated area, the entrance costs aprox 4€, it has a lot rooms and various exhibitions. So if you are in the area make time to visit this beautiful citadel.

From the outside it looks like a fortress like all the others, renovated. But when you entered, you stepped into another time. It is very nicely decorated and every room leaves you speechless. I wholeheartedly recommend!

A well preserved castle in which the renovation still continues. It has some parts which have to be better presented! A museum is in the first floor of the castle with many interesting exhibits!!! You have to visit it on the way to Brasov or on the way to Sibiu!!! Ticket is 4€ per person.

Amazing. Restored to perfection! Inside and outsider both! So worth a visit! For 30 lei (entrance fee) you also get entrance to the museum inside, they just have to check your tichet! To many more wonderfull experiences!!!
