  • When it rains it’s not that great beacuse ut’s kind of muddy but all in all it was a nice expetience. You will not see many signs on the road but it’s easy to find, you just have to follow the road.

  • Really impressive place. Easy to reach by car. Entry tax 20lei/person.
  • When you arrive there, you will be greeted by a person who will hand you a leaflet with information about the complex that also has a map. You can leave the car in the parking lot, there are paths arranged to each objective, and the ticket costs 20 RON (4 EUR) per person. The included objectives are: the extinct volcano Racos, the basalt quarry Brazi nicknamed by the locals The Emerald Lake, the basalt columns, and the Sükösd-Bethlen castle. There's a toilet as well as kiosks where you can buy souvenirs.
  • The whole geological complex is unique in Romania. A landscape that reminds me of Iceland and a lot of beautiful landmarks. The crater is quite beautiful in the right light or high from above.
  • Superb!
  • The extinguished volcano of Racoș, Brașov county, In the summer of 2021 the crater was off limits to visitors because the movie series Django was filmed here.
