    A very relaxing day, away from town noises and in the heart of Fagaras mountains, at Cabana Valea Sambetei, the starting point of one of the most challenging ridge trail in Romania to Moldoveanu peak.

    Fagaras are he highest mountains in Romania. Some of the peaks are real challenges for hikers also because many of them can be considered one day trips. Maybe people without mountain experience...

    If you are in Romania you have to do only three things: Eat Mici, drive the transfagarasan road and go to these mountains, it is amazing. Be sure that you are prepared because the trails are not easy and the weather can change rapidly. If you plan to sleep at a tent I recommend doing that at lacul avrig. Watch for the bears.

    One of the best places to visit in Romania if you love high mountains. Make sure you are phisically prepared and have the right gear, as weather can change rapidly, even in summer. In winter, go only after a thorough preparation.
