The red-and-yellow brick building of Catedrala Ortodoxa Sfanta Treime, topped with a copper roof and decorated with round mosaics depicting Jesus and the four evangelists, represents the seat of the Romanian Orthodox Archbishop. The architecture of this early 20th-century cathedral combines the elements of a Byzantine basilica with Baroque influences. Its main entrance is flanked by two tall towers with skylights ending in double bulbs. Above the entrance, notice an arched stained-glass window with a scene from the Old Testament depicting three angels seated at the table--representing the Holy Trinity. A massive gold chandelier beneath the central dome and the three-story golden iconostasis dominate the interior. The walls and ceilings are covered with neo-Byzantine frescoes. Gorgeous church and sanctuary space-- probably one of the most beautiful and iconic I have ever been in. Every inch was vibrant and eye-catching. Religious or not, I'd definitely recommend paying a visit to this church!
