Konstantin Vasiliev Museum, Kazan

I saw few prints of Vasilyev's pictures. And i wasn't exited about them. I had time in Kazan and decided to visit his museum. I was suprised. Vasilyev was a genuis. I loved his artworks. Instead of read many words it is better just to visit and see them with own eyes.

The museum collects his original and not original works of the artist Konstantin. It is a beautiful and quiet museum. The staff in the museum explains all the information about the paintings. The museum has a personal view of the artist Konstantin with amazing lighting design

Love his work. Don't know him but he is an wonderful in my eyes. Very small and private gallery well worth it.

Absolutely amazing

On Bauman street, in the very center of events. on the "tourist passage": do not slip past. And it's worth visiting. One can have a different attitude to the philosophy of his work: at some time, frank Slavophile nationalism and excessive pathos popped up (when viewing these paintings, only Wagner's music was missing). But as an artist, he is undeniably talented. At one time he was very fashionable, was well known, and reproductions of his paintings could be found anywhere. After his death, the wave of interest in him subsided somewhat. But the organizers of this museum managed to keep this fire alive and not let it die out completely. The museum is small. The cost of visiting is also low. Photography is allowed (no flash). Spend a little time, but the unusual impressions of his work are guaranteed.
