Create an itinerary including Faberge Museum
View the Imperial Easter eggs created for the last two Russian emperors, Alexander III and Nicholas II, at Faberge Museum. Devoted to the creative work of the great Russian jeweler Carl Faberge, this privately owned museum was founded to repatriate lost cultural valuables to Russia, and features approximately 4,000 works of decorative applied and fine arts, including gold and silver items, paintings, porcelain, and bronze. Much of the collection belonged to the royal family and other members of the monarchist courts of Europe. Guided tours last about an hour and are offered in Russian and English, although English tours are limited so be sure to reserve in advance through the website, or call the museum directly. You can explore the museum independently during specific hours, otherwise you must join a guided tour to view the exhibits. Note that photography is not permitted inside the museum. • Totally waste of time and money. It's more expensive than inarguably better, more interesting and much more comprehensive museums such as the State Russian Museum, Russian Ethnographic Museum or State Hermitage Museum. The price of the ticket for just small museum with only a few exhibition halls is 500 rub and you have to pay an additional 500 rub for audio guide. We didn't buy the audio guide thinking that at least there must be some small descriptions of the works but there wasn't any explanation. Let alone the descriptions, there was even no name near to the artifacts. Instead of wasting your time and money here, go visit State Hermitage Museum. If you did already, visit again, it's impossible to finish it at one time anyway. Money trap.
  • A breathtaking collection of Fabergé! The Museum demonstrates just how broad of work the House has created. Not only are you able to be so very close to some of thee most prized and historic pieces e.g. THE EGGS, beautifully preserved and displayed, these pieces are history, and a must see for any jewellery lover! Throughout you are given an immersive experience and in for such a surprise in each room!
  • Many wonderful things of beauty to see here. A collection of superb artistic brilliance. Breathtaking workmanship. Each and every piece can stand alone as a work of genius. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not to be missed. ..
  • Cute (not so huge as Hermitage) museum with interesting collection of Faberge: not only eggs as one can find out here. Nice place to spend an hour if you have a spare one
  • Nice museum with all the luxury items of the imperial and wealthy families of Russia, and of course the famous Faberge eggs! The ticket costs 500 rubbles.
