  • It's an amazing Gallery which is quite interactive in the heart of the city. It shows all type of system that the country own. Gallery is open in two stories where each storey has his own charm. One can see the story around how the Singapore is been developed or originated, to how it is been expanding, how the land is been increased decade by decade. How the traffic and internal resources work. How the beautification is been increased and people are finding more and more ways to enhance it and decrease it's issues. The emerging trend and the lifestyle of people are been shown in the amazing way. One can hire the guides too who will help in understanding each and every part of it very nicely. It is quite interesting to be here and to understand it fully. It also depicts the old Singapore with the new one with various photograph and video section. It is amazing and people should be here once you are here in Singapore.
  • Very good gallery to visit if you like urban planning, city planning, or are simply curious about all the different aspects of Singapore as a city-state. You’ll understand what it means to run a nation like a well-oiled machine. The scale models are also very good. Plus there are many interactive activities to learn about city planning. The gallery is under the URA (urban redevelopment authority of Singapore). Strongly recommend to book the free-guided tour run by volunteers.
  • This gallery details how Singapore turned out to be what it is we see now due to the early planning. Currently the entry fee is free for all. You will see how waste is treated efficiently, how transportation is sustainable. Concept plans are revised every 10 years to make sure Singapore is ready 40-50 years down the line. There are giant screens where you are free to create things with the land in Singapore. Let your imagination run wild. You will get green land on the screen, much like the simulation. You will have all structures, attractions, museums, and parks ready at your disposal to plan your own city in Singapore. On one of the floors, you will also find 1:50 scale models of almost all types of structures you find in Singapore. The one I liked the most was the Helix bridge scale model.
  • Very good for locals and foreigners to learn about urban planning and transformation of Singapore. It makes me proud and appreciate the efforts made by URA and other government statutory boards and agencies to make Singapore a better place to live, work and play. There are also other ongoing exhibitions like the Space for our Dreams Exhibition at Level 1. Sign up for both visits if available, to have a better understand of past, present and future plans of Singapore.
  • The Singapore City Gallery takes you on a tour of Singapore’s history and how it transformed into the tech-savvy, well-planned urban jungle we see today. We saw a lot of videos around the past, the present and where Singapore is heading. We also saw a scale model of central Singapore. It’s a well-packed and well-paced gallery. Best yet, it was free for us to go in and explore. If you’re in to architecture, urban planning or just really want to know how Singapore became what it is today, this is a great gallery to check out!
