  • What a surprise this was. We see the haunting remains of a huge synagogue in a small Slovak town. Anyone interested in Jewish heritage and visiting this region of Slovakia should visit this...

  • Very nice synagogue, 3rd biggest in the Slovakia, from what the lady told us. The lady knows a lot about synagogue, is ready to answer your questions. The synagogue is not too big and there is not much to explain, so it's 15-20 minutes trip, which is great for visit with children. You pay 2€ for an adult, 1€ for a child, but it's worth the money.
  • Wonderful and breathtaking place to visit, there are usually some exhibitions going on aswell, good hour to spend. Don't forget to go upstairs, you have to ask at entrance as there as additional tables with information about Jewish community in Liptovský Mikuláš.
  • Synagogue in Liptovsky Mikulas is one of the largest in the Slovak Republic. Synagogue in Hollého ulica street is historical place which Museum of Janko Kral provides for public every year in summer. It was built between 1842 - 1846 as a classicist building. It gained its current appearance after reconstruction in 1906.
  • Well, it was kinda interesting experience to see abandoned place. There pictures exhibition in there
  • This sinagogue is more than beautiful. The building looks outstanding from outside, like a huge colonial villa. Inside its big and the blue colourful walls, ceiling and details, embrace you from every corner. It is used as a Gallery and it has a display of photographies and memories of its history. More than 800 jews were sent to camps from this town in 2WW, the Slovak government in place by the Germans delivered them. It is opened mostly in the summer and you can visit it also, through the Museum Jan Krăl, at the main square.
