Štrbské pleso is a picturesque mountain lake of glacial origin and a top tourist destination in the High Tatras, Slovakia. It is the second-largest glacial lake on the Slovak side of the High Tatras, after Veľké Hincovo pleso. Maximum depth is 20 metres .DescriptionŠtrbské pleso is now part of the neighborhood of Štrbské Pleso (spelled with a capital P). It is on the municipal lands of the village of Štrba, after which Štrbské pleso ("Lake Štrba") is now named. The word pleso ("tarn") is applied only to mountain lakes. The locals used to call it "the puddle" or "pond" (mláka) in the past. It is the second-largest glacial lake on the Slovak side of the High Tatras, after Hincovo Pleso, to which it loses by 0.8acre. It is fed by underground springs and has no visible outflow stream. Pleso has a beutiful little lake with a charming walking path around it. Near Fis hotel there is a fenicular to the mountain view point above. There are also two giant very high olimpic ski jumpers.

Lovely walk around a fairytale lake. Try to get informed in advance if activities are planned in the area. They sometimes have small festivals.

So gorgeous at Lake Strbske Pleso!!! We had so much fun renting a boat and walking around. We also had the most delicious pierogies at Hotel Kempinski!

Very beautiful and refreshing place, with a very big lake, you can do ski in the winter, canoeing, boating with 19 euros the boat, there is a small restaurant where to eat and enjoy the view.. good for trekking as well, other people go for hiking 🥾 🧗‍♀️

Honestly i was impressed and impact was similar to Morskie Oko. Absolutely morskie oko was bigger, surrounded by huge mountains and waterfall so it’s better but here is good for travellers who want to make it without hiking:D Easy to have memorable experience !
