Mangart Saddle, Bovec

What a drive, what a climb, what a view, what an experience! After paying the toll you’re met with a challenging road. Once you reach the top you’re rewarded with amazing views 360° around. The upper most parking was unreachable due to a rockslide, but you can reach it on foot. A must see.

Just breathtaking. The way on the top is really difficult and not for everyone, in some places you have to back out when you meet other car, the road is steep and narrow- you have to be prepared for it. The last kilometer is still closed, but you can easily park here and walk the rest. Its really worth it!! We went on tuesday about 19:00 and the entrance was free, there were maybe 3 cars.. so peace and lot of time to observe the mountains. I loved that and reccomend it for everyone.

Located within the Triglav narional park, there is a 10 eur entrance fee for motorists (and motorcycles). At the entrance it's about 9km to the top, however the parking is not at the very top of the bending, but paved, road. Once you park then it's about a 1km walk to the top. It offers great views of the mountains. Highly recommend visiting. Road only open in summer. Get there early as there is not much parking and bad weather comes in afternoons.

Beautiful scenery, lovely road up the hill with little bits of adrenaline when you need to backtrack to let someone pass. 10 euro fee per car to access it. Currently last 1.5km of road is closed to traffic

Great view over Italy and Slovenia. Please mind that the road is closed about 1km length from the top. You can walk up the mountain but it might be an intense and heavy trail.
