TILIA ESTATE (House of pinots) is a private wine cellar owned by the family of Melita and Matjaž Lemut, both University trained vintners

and enologists with international experiences, especially from Switzerland and California.

It is located in Slovenia´s south-western Vipava Valley, just 70 miles from Venice (Italy).

Established in 1994 has launched its first vintage in 1996.

The wine is sold under the name TILIA, which is Latin name for linden tree, that grows on the estate.

Total annual production is 3.700 cases.

Our Pinot Gris has built up quite the reputation in our country...being unofficially declared 'the best-selling gastronomic Pinot Gris in Slovenia' :) And together with Pinot Noir they are the most recognizable wines of our estate.

We offer several tasting options for you to sample our high quality boutique wines with local cheese and home-made salami. Our staff is trained to help you discover your favorite wines among our portfolio.

Are you interested to learn more about how our wine gets from the vineyard to your glass? We are offering a private tour with winemaker Matjaž Lemut where you can see the cellar, vineyards and learn about the process of winemaking.

We also arrange tours trough our beautiful and green Vipava valley which is full of charming hills with vineyards, remarkable history and great people.

We absolutely loved our visit to the T.I.L.I.A. Estate Winery. We showed up without a reservation. Mojca met us at door and offered a tasting in the cellar. The pours were generous, and she was a knowledgeable and fun hostess. We briefly met the owner who was also very fun. The vineyards are small but mighty. We'd definitely recommend this visit to others!

Scrumptious pinot noir (and more... ). A really nice visit and local discovery. Mojca was both a gracious host and consummate wine professional. It was a sincere pleasure to visit T.I.L.I.A Estates with her as our guide. She was generous with both time and stories, and the wine, it thoroughly merits saying, was delicious. Got an interesting look at the vineyard on-site, as well as the cellar and tried lots of products. Well worth the price, highly recommendable.

By far this was the best wine tasting experience I’ve had. The staff were extremely welcoming and personable! Mojca was very knowledgeable about the wines and made us feel at home and comfortable.

Wanted to take part in wine tasting. Called the estate - no answers. Drove there, saw a sign "we are open", no one was there. Called a second number that wasn't listed online but on site. Called the number and were told no had time for us on that day. Very disappointing.

Wine grover with guts! One of the best in Slovenia! By all means a must see if you happen to be in Vipava valey.
