A Renaissance structure with a large inner yard, Gewerkenegg Castle contains a museum of engineering and industrial heritage. Inside, exhibits and collections preserve the heritage of the region's mercury mining days. Photographs, documents, maps, and various objects narrate the history of mining here, as well as the development of forestry and floating timber industry. In the geological collection, you can see mercury ores, fossils, rocks, and various minerals.
