  • The place has a great deal of significance but there’s not much to it. Definitely a B list sight for me. We drove to it and Google Mops gave us bad directions - follow the town’s signs instead if...

  • Above Kobarid, can be reached with car, parking on top. Nice to walk around the church, on one side names of all Italian soldiers who died around on the front, on the other side views of nature...

  • Spectacular views from a mausoleum for the Italian dead of WW1. A place to consider the conflict that scarred these beautiful mountains and valleys.

  • Beautiful Italian ossuary - final resting place for 7014 Italian soldiers who perished on the Soča frontlines during WW1. The ossuary is build next to a 17th century church.
  • Great memorial place, nice viewpoint
  • Really magnificent place. Free parking and great viewpoint.
  • This place is really charming. I had an incredible sense of calm here. At the same time, it is a monument to the horrors of war.
  • Final rating place for over 7,000 Italian soliders who died in the surrounding area during World War I, including the remains of 500 unknowns. The Charnel House was built around the always existing Church of St. Anton Adams was dedicated in 1938 by Mussolini. The monument is a somber reminder of the terrible price paid by so many during all. The setting is splendid with an incredible view, befitting the sacrifice made by these soldiers. It is possible to drive up the hill to the monument, however the walk up affords the opportunity to also view the stations of the cross that line the drive.
