  • Many many many arefacts to explore for its relatively small size. Packet with history of trains, a must se for steam engine entusiasts.

  • By far the best I've seen in a while. Should be on every rail enthusiasts list to visit. Brilliant museam of signaling with live demos available on request. Next to an operational yard so you might get lucky and see a few movements there as well. No restaurant or coffee shop so eat before going. Car park on site.
  • This museum is really charming and worth the visit. The exhibits are very interesting and it's one of the most interesting museums in Ljubljana. However, it also has so much unrealized potential. Old locomotives are rusting in the yard and the explanation plaques are underwhelming. I think this place could do wonders with some additional funds and proper marketing. Then again, the ticket was a bit pricey (8€, plus the parking). Hopefully the museum will continue to grow, because it really deserves better than it already is.
  • During a visit in Slovenia, we went to the “museum”. There is small exhibition inside (that will take like 5 minutes) all the rest is in terrible condition and not worth a visit. For sure not worth to pay 8 EUR entry fee for adult + parking fee. As a side note: get a tetanus shot before visiting the junk yard.
  • The most historical place. A plesant suprise awaits you in arrival (old tickets). It's like you've crossed the threshold of a century into the past. A large collection, well preserved...
  • The railway museum is not much more than a central building with stored old trains and a site building with old railway equipment and clothing. It is nice to see all of this but it is that big so do not have to high of an expectation when planning to visit. Still loved what I have seen here and it has given me information about the development of the railway system in Slovenia over the years.
