The church is beautifull, 550 years old. So peacefull... There was no ceremony when we were there, but was so beautifull.

Very attractive location by the river. Monastery is very old and well maintained. Friars are very helpful and kind. You can also visit the library to see some codecs from 1418 and many more. You have.... more

When u walk outside and it is bloody freezing and u walk In a heated church👍👍 Nice church next to monastery, u can explore plenty. We could even enjoy music, sojenje was playing on organ.

Very interesting history behind it, I love how the whole Novo Mesto is full of history info tables, appreciated. This one has a history with a Bosnian franciscan monk who was running from the ottoman empire. The outside looks surreal with the palm trees in front of it A 2 minute stroll sidewalk from the main street.

I can highly recommend the visit the Franciscan Monastery Novo mesto. It has the most stunning monuments of Dolenjska, a beautiful and rich history library that holds history of so many generations. Visits are possie by appointment, also done in English! Highly impressed!
