GourmIstra, Piran

We've stumbled on this shop quite by accident. But wow, the experience was amazing. The owner/seller sells some wine, truffles, olive oils and many more. You can even try everything before you buy and bevll tell you everything about it. I honestly didn't expect to have most joy in Piran by going to this local shop! 6/5 experience!

This place really is a hidden gem in the centre of Piran. We walked in looking for some gifts and had a great experience. The owner is super knowledgeable and kind. We tried olive oils and wines. We got a lot of information about the (all local!) products. There really isn’t any pressure to buy after tasting, but you will because everything is of excellent quality. Having said this, the atmosphere is really low-key!

This shop is a bit hidden and we found it by wondering about, but what a great find. The owner is obviously very passionate about the olive oil and truffle selection and more than happy to explain the produce and very generous with the samples. Definitely stop by if you want some proper authentic Istrian olive oil and truffles!

Very nice and small shop for local delicacies, especially olive oil, wine and truffle. The shop owner is very kind, engaged and has a lot of background information to all of his products. He offers to taste everything without the necessity to buy anything. But you want to buy something, because it‘s worth it! One of the best stores in Piran.
